Help with the HitZero app
Questions, a bug, or an idea? Email hello@playhitzero.com. A real person reads every one.
Stay safe
- Only do skills your coach has taught you.
- Tumble on a mat, with room all around you.
- Anything upside down, a back walkover or a handspring: only when your coach says you are ready.
- A stunt stand: only on a mat, with a coach or a grown-up right there.
- If something hurts, stop.
Setting up
- Prop the device up. Lean it against something that will not fall, about as high as your chest, standing up as straight as you can get it.
- Step back. It has to see all of you, head to toes, with room to jump. If it says "Step back a little", do.
- Stand tall and still. Wait for the ding and the green GO. Then do your skill.
- One at a time. The app watches one kid. The next one waits off to the side, then stands still in the same spot.
- Got an iPad? Use it. HitZero works on an iPhone, and it is even better on an iPad: the big screen makes it easy to see yourself from across the mat.
If something goes wrong
- It can't see me. Step back, turn on a light, and stand where nothing is in front of you. Bright clothes that are not the color of the wall help.
- It did not count my skill. Stand tall and still first, until GO. Stay in the picture the whole time. For a cartwheel, a walkover or the floor shapes, turn the device sideways so you go across the picture.
- It stopped in the middle. Someone walked in front of it, or part of you left the picture. Step back and go again.
- I can't hear the coach. Turn the sound up, and flip the switch on the side of the phone so it is not on silent.
- Go again without touching the device. After a try, wave both arms over your head.
HitZero Plus and outfits
- What Plus is. HitZero is free to use every day. HitZero Plus opens every game, level, routine, workout and weekly plan, as much as you want. A grown-up buys it in the app, through Apple.
- A new device. In the app: Me, then More, then HitZero Plus, then Restore purchases. Plus comes back on any device with the same Apple ID.
- Turning it off. Plus renews by itself until it is turned off. Turn it off any time in your device's Settings: tap your name, then Subscriptions.
- The whole family. With Apple's Family Sharing, one purchase covers your family's phones and iPads.
- Outfit packs. Special outfits for your avatar, bought once and kept for good. They are not part of Plus. On a new device: Me, then the Closet, then the Shop, then Restore purchases.
- Refunds. Purchases are handled by Apple: ask for a refund at reportaproblem.apple.com.
Your data
